Mangawhai is kitesurfing mecca with its great safe harbour and for more experienced surf and bar breaks. Also within 40mins drive are two other great harbours if the conditions dont suit here. The adventure sports space has changed in NZ for kitesurfing. we are not an audited kite school but provide guides and gear if you have had instruction. Alternatively we have two locally based schools we recommend beginners to and you get the local rate.
